HDR algorithms in graphical comparison with the variants browser
Today, the image post processing is simply a must for any photographer. As a user, you want to get a good result as fast as possible, even with complex software that allows plenty of selectable algorithms for perfect and individual results. Of course, then it is of great advantage, to assess the impact of complex procedures quickly and to be able to make a swift decision. With the variants browser and its graphical overview, exactly that goal is achieved.
After an HDR image is loaded in the post-processing window, it is to be decided whether to use a scenario, a HDR-weighting mode or possibly one of the options of the Tuning Wizard. In all cases, for the variants browser, its always the same symbol in front of the pull-up menu with the respective options.
Of course, now each option could be tried on the big picture one after the other. However, much more effective is a visual overview of all variants simultaneously. This way, all algorithms can be compared side by side nicely in one single window and also a lot of time can be saved.
By clicking on the browser icon to the left of the pull-up menu with the options, a relatively short calculation will start, despite a large number of variants. A separate, new window is presented at once.
Here, what the respective algorithm is causing, is immediately apparent at first glance. In this example, the weighting modes. The ideal candidate can now be picked out in peace. If the favorite is determined, the desired variant is quickly equipped with a simple double-click and the window closes. Should the current algorithm already have been perfect and no change happened, you simply go back with the close button.
This way, the right decision can be made in no time and incidentally, the variants browser is always perfectly suitable for inspiration.
